What do we mean by “More Than
Sport Skills?”
Athletes spend hours training their bodies and developing their strength, endurance, flexibility, agility, and sport specific skills. However, athletes often forget about the mental aspect of sport, the opportunity to develop mental toughness, confidence, motivation, leadership, and life skills. We at More Than Sport Skills offer programming, training, curriculum design, and individual or team resources to improve the mental game, in order to develop a well rounded athlete experience.

Youth sport can be a great way to develop life skills for young athletes, however intentional, purposeful strategies should be included. This is especially important for young girls, who often don’t have the needed exposure and experience to sport that they should.
